Describes campaign in Piedmont; complains that troops are not being paid, so he must sell his plate; criticizes intrigues of Duke of Savoy and asks to be relieved of his command. Letters from Terond recount the Duke's death from battle wounds and ask Blathwayt's assistance in securing a new position in England.
